Local Archeological Walks

Cosán na Naomh (The Saints Path)

Cosán na Naomh is a wonderful, evocative title for one of Ireland's most fascinating beautiful roads. It is situated at the end of the Dingle Peninsula. People have been treading this route for centuries. There are so many archaeological sites and places of interest to see along this ancient route.

There is one saint in particular and that is Breandan the famous navigator. If somebody was giving a present to a love one then this walk would be the ideal present for nobody who experiences the wonders and beauty of this walk can never forget what they see!!!

Slí Corca Dhuibhne (The Dingle Way)

The Dingle Way is a long-distance walking route of appx 100 miles, which follows old tracks, mountain trails and green roads, often along the foothills of the mountains, and go around the whole of the Dingle Peninsula.

Dingle - the name rings a bell and the area is a popular holiday destination. The Dingle Way makes a circuit of the Dingle Peninsula from and back to Tralee. The route is mostly along fairly easy paths, tracks and minor roads, but there is one high-level stretch crossing the saddle of the Brandon Mountain Range. Sea views are with you all the way, as you travel in an area said to have the greatest concentration of archaeological sites in Ireland. The extent of laneways/surfaced by-roads makes the route particularly suitable for walking all year round.
